Going to the beautiful coastline of South France is a must on your to do list for travelling within Europe, and also to tick off a mini state on your visited countries list in Monaco. Back in March of 2023 we went to Nice, Antibes, Cannes and Monaco.

Stop 1: Nice

We took the plane to travel towards Nice, where we stayed for 4 nights at the Radission Blu. The hotel located is right at the famous Prom de Anglais. Surprisingly easy we could move within the city using the public transport. With the pebble beach just outside our hotel, our toddler enjoyed throwing rocks into the waves crashing into the pebbles. We stayed in the Radisson Blue of Nice, which has an awesome view over the oceanside.

Stop 2: Monaco

A short daytrip to the second smallest country in the world Monaco should not miss in your trajectory while visiting this region. It is easy to get to by train from all the different French cities. But, this place is not tailor made for toddlers. Of course the famous Monte Carlo casino is off limits with a 2 year old ;-). The oceanographic has an amazing view over Monaco, and it is close to the Place du Palais. Also Jardin Saint Martin is located right next to the Oceanographic. From both the gardens and the aquarium, you got amazing views on the ocean. In the aquarium is a big room with projectors which is awesome for kids! This is the go to place for your little one to enjoy!

Stop 3: Antibes

Antibes is a beautiful coastline city, and visiting Marineland was definitely the best thing to do with a toddler. The vast shows and marine wildlife present (Killer whales, dolphins, penguins and walrus) gives the little ones a lot of unforgetful moments. Port Vauban has some beautiful sights over the old city walls, and the city itself is very charming with cobble streets and beautiful old buildings.

Stop 4: Cannes

We visited Cannes while MIPIM was active, one of biggest real estate fairs globally. So, we saw a lot of business professionals during our day visit there. Due to the busy environment we only went for a view over the harbor. If you want a nice panoramic view, the view from Le Suquet is a great small hike up!
