Guidelines of Prague: Top 6 things to experience

Prague is one of my favorite cities in Europe! The vibrant nightlife, the good beer and the old buildings and bridges make Prague a perfect spot to visit with something for everyone! Here are 6 things to experience Prague to the fullest!

Drink Beer
God, Prague is awesome for beer. The beer is cheap, the beer is plenty, the beer is tasty. We were lucky to visit Prague in May when there was a beer festival with special beers. Great for all my Untappd friends!

Visit the Historical Center
The old town of Prague is the tourist attraction of Prague. The Astronomical Clock is the oldest astronomical clock in the world that is still working. It leads to the Old Town Square and a view of the Church of Our Lady before Týn in the back. There are a lot of old synagogues and historical buildings for you to visit if you have the time and interest! Be sure to also walk towards the famous Charles Bridge (Karlúv most).

View the Bridges
Prague has seven bridges throughout the city. Do you want the best view over the whole city including all of the seven bridges? The best place for an amazing view is from the Hanavsky Pavilon viewing point. It is located in the Letná Park. The park itself is filled with youth skateboarding and drinking beer. Go towards the Havasky Pavilon, which is an expensive restaurant. Infront of the Pavilon, you have the most amazing view over whole Prague!

Sightseeing outside the Old Town
Be sure to not forget to visit the rest of the city as well! Visit the St. Vitus Cathedral, a huge Cathedral with great view from all sights. Visit one of the many parks and chill with a beer in the grass. There are a ton of other historical sights to explore. Museums, theaters, galleries, and historical exhibitions. Be also sure to visit the colorful John Lennon Wall!

Enjoy the local Food
Be sure to mingle with some locals (with the help of Couchsurfing for example) and ask for some local restaurants outside of the tourist area. Do not fall for the tourist traps in the touristic area, unless you are starving of course (even we visited some touristic restaurants, when a man’s gotta eat, a man’s gotta eat).

Go crazy in the Nightlife
When you are in Prague, you have to experience the nightlife scene! You just read that the beers are cheap and awesome right? So is the nightlife! There is an awesome Pub Crawl in Prague which gives you the chance to meet new people and get an insight in the city. After the Pub Crawl, you can go party with some new friends!
