This week we concluded our China trip for 2 days in Shanghai. In this blog I will describe which three activities are a must do while you are visiting the city. Shanghai is the biggest city in the country, so of course there is a lot to see and do in the city. We choose to do three main spots which we can vouch for. There are more than 20 million people living in the city, but unlike the more rural areas people do not stare at you as a foreigner. The city really has that international charm, but even in Shanghai English is hard to use as a language!
Cape of Good Hope is known as being the most southern part of the African continent, but it is not in reality (Cape Agulhas is). But, it is no reason to not visit this beautiful scenery! The famous sign which states you are on the most southern part of the African continent can be found there (yes, even if it is not the most southern part ;)). On the same sight you can also find Cape Point, which consists of a big peak with a lighthouse tower on it with an amazing view.
In this blog I will take you on how we experienced this journey! visiting Boulders Beach on the way!
Jülich is a small city situated between Aachen and Cologne. Samia works for the researchcenter in the city, where also a lot of our international friends live. Sometimes we like to go and relax a bit in Jülich, there it has some great leisure spots for a warm sunday! Let me take you on a sightseeing tour through Jülich! These are the three places to visit.
Are you visiting the South of the Netherlands and doing a little tour? Just 30 kilometers from Eindhoven towards Maastricht you will pass the village Nederweert. There is not much to see in the village except one beautiful memorial: the Nederweert War Cemetery.
The cemetery is dedicated to the casualties after the liberation of Nederweert on 21st September 1944. Nederweert was liberated by British troops, who still had ongoing fights with German patrols in the area.
There is a total of 362 graves on the burial site (Not as huge as the memorial site at Margraten, read more about that HERE).All the fallen soldiers are from Commonwealth countries. On the cemetery, there is Cross of Sacrifice with a bronze sword in it. In the back, there is a small chapel. See the gallery below for a view of the memorial.

- Inide the chapel there is a story about the war in Nederweert

It is worth a short visit while you are in the area. You can park the car next to the park the burial site is situated. It is 50 meters walk towards the entrance, also accessible by wheelchair. A great pitstop in the beautiful province of Limburg!
